Whitney Houston Funeral Will Be Held at Childhood Church
The legendary Whitney Houston will be laid to rest on Saturday in Newark, NJ at her childhood church were she first showcase her outstanding musical ability. The funeral will be held at Newark’s New Hope Baptist Church and seats 1,500 says the owner of Whigham Funeral Home. Currently, the family has no plans for a public service at this time.
Houston was found dead on Feb. 11 in Beverly Hills, California and officials say she was found unconscious under water once she was pulled from the bathtub. Chief Ed Winter, Los Angeles assistant coroner said bottles were in the hotel room along with prescription drugs.
Houston was one of the world’s best selling artists some of her songs include “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “How Will I Know,” “The Greatest Love Of All,” and “I Will Always Love You.” Houston left behind her only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
